Six Swiss Eurovision Hopefuls Revealed!

Early on in the Eurovision 2018 season, the Swiss broadcaster announced that they were changing things up for the 2018 selection. The selection hoped to focus more heavily on a song that features and clear and understandable message. At the time it was said that songs would be tested out with a range of singers to find the perfect interpretations, however we’re not sure if this plan was used or scrapped.

Although we were expecting a bit more of a shake up to the national selection, it seems almost identical to the format of previous years. We’ve got six artists who will be competing in Entscheidungsshow, but one difference is that the regional quotas were scrapped, meaning that the ‘best’ six could be chosen without having to have a specific number of acts from the regional broadcasters submissions.

Without further ado, here are the six competing entries!

  • Zibbz – Stones

  • Angie Ott – A Thousand Times

  • Naeman – Kiss Me

  • Chiara Dubey – Secrets and Lies

  • Alejandro Reyes – Compass

  • Vanessa Iraci – Redlights

The final will take place on the 4th of February, where there will be a debut of an international jury to assist with choosing the 2018 Eurovision act.
